Speaking Engagement: Women in the 18th Century

Posted by Tiffany Apan Category: Uncategorized

What do think of when you imagine a woman in the 18th century? Many might imagine a housewife, or perhaps a camp follower. And while those were both great contributions, what if there was more?

Join Tiffany Apan and Laura Mason Lockard as they go into detail on women’s occupations. Occupations that include musician, composer, tavern owner, blacksmith, actress, postmaster, silversmith, and yes, the first (known) female tattoo artist. And just how was family life viewed?
These questions and more will be answered over breakfast pastries, coffee, tea, and mimosas!

After the event, take a tour of the Neville House.

This event is also sponsored by Howard-Hanna Real Estate Services.
